Being so close to this terrible disease in our work as design professionals for Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s care facilities across the nation, we see daily the toll this disease takes on our elders. Currently, a staggering 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s and that number is projected to grow exponentially over the coming years as our population ages.
